Leading toy trade website moves to next level with online revamp

Welcome to the new look ToyNews website

ToyNews has overhauled its web presence, with new features and a focus on a user experience optimised across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

In short, the new ToyNews website has been built to give you all the content you already love, packaged in a form conducive to our multi-device, socially-networked age.

It’s all part of our goal to keep ToyNews as the number one information source for the toy trade across as many channels as possible, encompassing online, print, email, mobile, apps and social networks.

The most obvious change to the site is the look and feel, which we believe offers readers a cleaner and more engaging browsing experience – we’ve taken away the clutter, allowing you to get to what you want, quickly and easily.

Crucially, the site has been developed using a technique called ‘responsive’ design, which means it will adapt itself automatically depending on the device the reader is accessing it from – be that desktop, tablet or mobile phone.

The Carousel and Homestream are now the focal points, allowing you to immediately see the most important stories of the day and then scroll down the page to view everything else that happening in and around the toy industry.

But the charges aren’t just cosmetic – we’ve worked hard to build community and industry resources into the new ToyNews site, including:

  • Full jobs board functionality, enabling you to post your vacancies and have them seen by the entire toy industry.
  • Monthly NPD Charts for the UK toy retail market (Volume & Value).
  • Comprehensive industry events listings, so you never miss a conference or exhibition.
  • The ability to comment on articles, engaging with our specialist team and fellow industry professionals.
  • Easy access to the Digital Edition of ToyNews magazine and its archive.

We’ve also revamped our email services, which include the Daily Digest news round up and Newsflash alerts.

You can also follow ToyNews on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and RSS.

And don’t forget, on top of all that you can also download the ToyNews iPhone and iPad apps.

"The world of publishing has changed, and ToyNews has changed with it," said ToyNews publisher Lisa Carter. "The website has been providing the toy trade with up to the minute news for some time and with the new design we are taking things to the next level. Watch out for more announcements from us soon as we expand our digital presence."
