LEGO brand manager named one of UK’s best

A LEGO UK brand manager has been named as one of the best marketers in the country.

27-year-old Kathryn Marriott has been awarded a Scholarship Programme with The Marketing Academy. Only 30 are invited to take part in the year-long leadership development programme.

She joined LEGO in 2012 and is currently brand manager forLEGO Friends – one of the company’s major success stories of last year.

"Marriott will be coached by some of The Marketing Academy’s high profile industry members via mentoring, networking and personalised learning," read a statement. "The aim is that she and her fellow marketers will form the next generation to shape the future of marketing and business."

Sherilyn Shackwell, founder and CEO of The Marketing Academy, said: "Each year The Marketing Academy takes only 30 of the very best UK marketers for our scholarship programme and we’re delighted that Kathryn Marriott from LEGO has been awarded one of these sought after places.
