Cut the Rope toys to “exceed” sales expectations

Cut the Rope app game developer ZeptoLab and TV and licensing company ITV Studios Global Entertainment expect the Cut the Rope toys to "vastly exceed sales expectations".

A statement read: "Series One of Vivid’s Om Nom character-themed Blind Bag Collector Figures and the five-figure Collector Pack went on sale across the UK at Easter.

"Further product is due at retail later in the year and initial figures already indicate that the toy range should vastly exceed sales expectations.

"With much more licensed product set to roll out in a number of European markets this year and next, this strong retail performance is likely to be matched in many more categories – from apparel to gifting, publishing, mobile and games accessories and more."

New app game Cut the Rope: Time Travel has launched, which will have ten new web episodes integrated into it.

A third season of the popular web-based kids’ series is scheduled to debut later this year. ZeptoLab has also recently partnered with Sony Pictures Television to produce a live-action game show based on the game.

There are nearly 50 Cut the Rope licensees in Europe, including master toy licensee Vivid Imaginations.
