Firm expanding reach out of pre-school with older boys comedy, live action and an animated adult sit-com.
Creator of Fifi and the Flowertots and Roary the Car, Keith Chapman has admitted that he is now developing shows outside of his traditional pre-school remit - including a live action idea and an adult animated sit-com.
In a special Open to Question feature on Licensing.biz, Chapman was responding to questions from the licensing community.
Asked what was next for the company, he said: "We have several new shows in development. We have another pre-school show, this time a 'skins' live action idea, very educational.
"We are working on a boy's comedy, aimed at six to nine year-olds in conjunction with a world famous production company, which is very exciting. And an action adventure, aimed at eight to 11.
We are also looking at an adult, edgy show, an animated sit-com, that there seems to be a lack of at the moment. We are looking to co-pro these shows. Also, I am personally working on a full-length movie, live action with CGI characters. But there's a long way to go."
However, Chapman was keen to point out that the company wouldn't be abandoning its existing shows and their fans.
"On the contrary, we're growing them all the time with new series, theatre shows, new international territories and new licensees," he said.
