WowWee and Jazwares reveal 2017 UK strategy

Fingerlings has seen a successful launch, supported by a TV campaign, in-store demonstrations, social media and PR.

April has seen a successful launch for new toy line Fingerlings, backed by a TV campaign, in-store demonstrations, social media and PR, all bolstering demand for the product.

Bolstering consumer awareness further YouTube star Tiana from Toys and Me will be featuring Fingerlings on her channel this summer. The Fingerlings product range will also expand later this year to include fun playsets.

“We are very excited to be working alongside Jazwares UK to bring what looks to be one of the hottest items that the UK toy market will see in 2017," comments Michael Yanofsky of WowWee.

"Initial sales have exceeded both WowWee’s and all of our retail partner’s expectations. We aim to carry this momentum all the way through this Q4 and beyond with product refreshes, exclusive colours, new form factors and playsets. We are hopeful that this will become a marquee brand for years to come.”

Working closely with WowWee to launch the range in the UK is their distributor Jazwares, Jonny Taylor, UK MD, comments “We are thrilled to be working with WowWee in the UK. They have a very strong product line-up this year. We are delighted with Fingerlings sales to date, consumer demand has been exceptionally strong. We are also very excited about Chippies. After the success of Chip last year we expect the lower price point puppy version to be a hit!”

Throughout 2017, WowWee will be introducing Chippies, BotSquad, Magnaflex and Turbo Dave, your personal Minion into the UK, WowWee and Jazwares plans include in-store partnerships, YouTube campaigns, TV advertising and all-round PR activity.
