Women in Toys, Licensing and Entertainment is to honour the Academy Award-winning actor Geena Davis with its 2017 Changemaker Award.
Davis will be honoured for her work in flying the flag for gender equality in film and entertainment as well as being an impactful advocate to the toy industry on the importance of improving the gender balance.
She will be named at the annual WIT Wonder Women Awards Gala on February 19th next year in New York City.
Joining Davis in this year’s honours list will be Jill Barad, the former chairman and CEO of Mattel who will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Wonder Women Awards Gala theme will be WIT Changemakers: Playing it Forward, recognising and honouring female executives who create positive change by giving back and paving the way for future leaders.
