US TOY FAIR: WIT's Wonder Women Awards winners revealed

Spin Master, Hasbro, Moose Toys and Entertaiment One all win big at this year's Gala event.

The 2016 Women in Toys Wonder Women Awards winners have been revealed at a prestigious event that was held during the New York Toy Fair.

More than 500 executives in toys, licensing and entertainment gathered on Sunday, February 14th to celebrate the 12th annual Gala event and the 25th year of Women in Toys as well as honour those crowned this year’s winners.

Hosted by Women in Toys, the event awarded 12 distinguished winners from over 50 nominees from around the world, among whom the Founders Award was handed to Anne Pitrone and Susan Matsumoto who created WIT 25 years ago.

The ceremony also saw the Game Changer Award handed to Mattel for the evolution of its Barbie brand with the recent expansion of the Barbie Fashionistas, while both Sydney and Toni Loew picked up the Wonder Girl Award for their efforts in developing the Poketti pocket plush line.
