The Toy Association’s 2016 Annual Report is now available online.

Last year saw the Toy Association work alongside members to advocate for reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act, achieve new levels of impactful government and media communications and educate consumers about the standards in place to ensure the safety of toys sold in the US.

The Association has also launched its first business-to-consumer show, Play Fair, as well as connect over 16,000 buyers with toy sellers on the ShopToy365.com platform and grow the North American International Toy Fair.

The group was also proactive in bringing members new webinars, global market reports and studies aimed at helping companies grow their business.

Meanwhile, its charity initiative, the Toy Industry Foundation served four million children in need – triple the number served in 2015.

The past year has also seen the organisation craft a new strategic plan focused on 2020, prioritising global advocacy and market access initiatives, elevating the public image of the toy industry and help develop the next generation of toy industry leaders.

“Progress and achievements against threats, challenges and opportunities are made possible by your membership in the Toy Association,” said Steve Pasierb, president and CEO.

“Exciting times are upon us and we look forward to the essential task of working together to create an ever stronger and more dynamic toy and play community. It is our honour and privilege to serve you and your companies.”

Toy Association regular members who would like to become more involved in helping to set the strategic direction of the Association are encouraged to submit nominations for qualified candidates to serve n one of the organisation’s policy committess.
