Toymaster highlights stance on own label products

“We do not have one either in-store, in the planning stage or even in our list of the top 100 things to do to Help Our Members Trade More Profitably.”

Toymaster has underlined its position when it comes to own label products, highlighting it has ‘no plans to bring them into its in-store offering.’

The announcement follows a ToyNews exclusive interview with The Entertainer’s Gary Grant in which the multi-channel toy chain owner indicates his firm’s own plans to increase own-label output.

Meanwhile, Toymaster’s managing director, Ian Edmunds has gone on record to highlight the industry members’ buying group’s own stance on the topic.

“We do not have one either in-store, in the planning stage or even in our list of the top 100 things to do to Help Our Members Trade More Profitably,” he said.

In the March edition of ToyNews, Grant details that part of The Entertainer's 2017 plans for continued growth will incorporate an increased output of own label product, however highlights that this will not come to the detriment of suppliers the firm has close relationships with, citing the importance of brands and suppliers to the continued success of The Entertainer and the high street toy retailer.
