TOY FAIR DAILY: Galt and Miriam Stoppard launch toy line

Parenting guru helps design a pre-school toy range.

Galt Toys has teamed up with parenting expert Dr Miriam Stoppard to launch a range of toys for babies and toddlers.

The new 'Dr Miriam @ Galt' range is comprised of 21 wooden, plastic and soft toys is designed to encourage learning through play.

Each toy has engaging features for little hands and minds to explore. The range includes traditional favourites such as a jigsaw, rattle, soft books, soft toys, building blocks, a baby walker, activity centre, stacking rings, pull-along-puppy and a shape sorter among others.

The Dr Miriam @ Galt toy range will be available in stores and from www.galttoys.com this spring.

Dr Miriam Stoppard said: “I’m a firm believer that parents are the best first teacher for their child, and this complete range of toys supports this belief. The team at Galt Toys have done a fantastic job at bringing my vision to life. The toys include wonderful shapes, colours and textures, and offer the perfect opportunity for parents to help develop important skills in their young children. My play guides give parents a helping hand if needed, but above all make play as fun and beneficial as it should be.”

John McDonnell, managing director at Galt Toys commented: “We are delighted to be launching this range of toys with Dr Miriam Stoppard. Our heritage is with educational toys designed to develop children whilst they play so to have one of the UK’s most trusted parenting experts on board, underlining the importance of play, fits completely with Galt’s ethos and is a natural progression for the brand. The whole range has traditional elements to it which parents and grandparents will recognise, with some well thought through features which we believe will prove very popular.”
