New base set to open in Sao Paulo as part of the firm's worldwide expansion strategy.
The new venture was set up in order to fill a gap in the Brazilian domestic market for innovative design products.
Head of ThumbsUp Brazil, Ana Cristina Simões, explained: "The nature of strong markets means that buyers are looking for products that transform the trivial into something creative, fun and unusual.
"ThumbsUp absolutely takes this approach to product development, which is why this new territory seemed so fitting. thumbsUp! is currently well known in the US and is now focusing on Brazil; we hope to eventually grow to service all of South America."
Following careful research, ThumbsUp selected Brazil for its latest international expansion with the intention of supplying the largest economy in South America with its leading lines and products.
The country boasts a rapidly developing economy with a population of over 190 million and demand for consumer goods far exceeds supply. With the new Brazilian website in place, ThumbsUp has already managed to make an impression on the marketplace.
Large Brazilian retail chains such as Livraria, Nobel and Papel Craft are already stocking product, with the firm's novelty gift range provoking a lot of interest.
