The British gift and gadget developer ThumbsUp has this month appointed Naomi Dewell as buying manager.
She is set to work closely with the ThumbsUp product development team on merchandising initiatives and bringing the new range to market.
Dewell has commented: “I’m very much looking forward to getting to grips with the ThumbsUp range and working together with the in-house R&D team. Both the possibilities for brand growth and the opportunity to introduce even more distinctive products to the UK and international market are very exciting and I’m keen to make my mark managing the buying process within this unique company”.
Naomi Dewell has additionally expressed excitement over the company’s product the iCrayon which has become invaluable in the growing popularity of the Draw Something craze and the team are already thinking of the next product to explode onto the scene in the toy and gift industry.
Dewell has joined ThumbsUp from The White Company, as well as having experience working with brands such as The Disney Store, Hamleys and Harrods, so is an experienced buyer with an extensive knowledge of the toy and gift market.
The firm was founded in 2004 and had developed a reputation for selling its novelty gifts and gadgets to reputable retailers online and offline including Harvey Nicholls, Urban Outfitters, Amazon and Firebox.
