Over 530,000 toys were seized in total, with an estimated value of over $6 million.

Over half a million counterfeit plush Pokémon toys have been seized in South Korea.

The toys were reportedly smuggled into the country from China and were illegally distributed to arcades where they were used as prizes in various arcade games.

Trained officials detained shipping containers full of the stuffed toys, which were also found to have traces of unnamed hazardous chemicals.

The authorities also had to remove the fake plushies from the arcades, reports Kotaku.
