The Entertainer has smashed sales during the Christmas 2016 trading period, the retailer has revealed.
In the five weeks leading up to December 31st 2016, the company reported an increase in total sales of 13.5 per cent, with December 23rd proving to be the strongest trading day during the period.
The High Street retailer also witnessed strong comparatives like-for-like sales grow by 2.6 per cent.
In addition, the performance of TheToyShop.com was strong, growing 31.7 per cent year-on-year with sales relating to The Entertainer’s click and collect service spiking by 25 per cent year-on-year.

“2016 was a great year for The Entertainer, we ended the year with 15 new store openings in the UK inclusive of our first store in Northern Ireland, further investment into TV advertising and the expansion of our international operation into Cyprus, all designed to underpin our future growth aspirations.”
