The Alpha Group announces three new hires

As the company opens its new office in LA, The Alpha Group has announced three new executive hires and a promotion.

The Alpha Group, formerly known as Auldey Toys of North America, has announced three new executive hires and a promotion as the company opens its new office in El Segundo, LA.

Jean-Christophe Pean (pictured) has been named president of the firm, having previously held the role of executive VP at Mattel.

“I am thrilled and honoured to be joining The Alpha Group US and Europe as president,” said Pean.

“The Alpha Group is a leader in the development of animation and innovative toys, and I am excited to be a part of Alpha’s investment in the future. I look forward to partnering with our talented executive team to accelerate this vision and ensure Alpha’s continued success.”

Elsewhere, Brehan Maul is joining as Alpha’s new VP of marketing.

Maul joins with a wealth of experience managing licensed properties, most recently as Bandai’s vice president of brand management and marketing.

Darren Lee Phillipson joins as head of product design bringing experience of leadership roles from Disney, DreamWorks Animation and Fisher-Price to the position.

Lastly, Adrian Roche, who launched the company in 2015, has been promoted to the global role as VP of global business development.

Ray Wang, president international at The Alpha Group LLC, added: “As we continue to invest in the future, I am confident that given his leadership and industry experience, Pean will lead the Alpha business to great success in both the US and Europe.

“Our new LA presence will serve as a state of the art hub for innovation and creativity, allowing Alpha to lead the industry with the marketing and design of our products.”
