Spin Master to launch Paw Patrol on Nickelodeon in the autumn

Show is the firm’s first solely owned property

Spin Master is taking its first solely owned property Paw Patrol to Nickelodeon this fall.

The show is based on a concept from Bob the Builder creator Keith Chapman and will premiere in the US in August, then Canada in September, before airing internationally on Nickelodeon in the autumn.

“With our new series Paw Patrol, Spin Master Entertainment is entering the preschool space in a big way. We've put together what we believe to be the best creative minds in preschool to bring our heroic puppies and the world of Adventure Bay to life,” said Jennifer Dodge, VP of Spin Master Entertainment and Paw Patrol executive producer.

“We're extraordinarily excited to announce TVO and Knowledge Network as our broadcasters in Canada as well as our worldwide broadcast partnership with Nickelodeon.

Paw Patrol follows a pack of six heroic puppies that are led by a 10 year old boy named Ryder. The series focuses on ideas of citizenship, social skills and problem solving.

“I am thrilled and honored to be involved in the creation of Paw Patrol with Spin Master,” added Chapman.

“It is the perfect show for young children, who will love to follow the adventures of a heroic boy and his team of rescue pups helping those in need. It's aspirational, hi-tech, exciting, highly entertaining and the pups are simply adorable! Additionally, the animation, by Toronto-based Guru Studio, is fantastic; beautifully observed and superbly crafted.

Spin Master owns the worldwide toy rights for Paw Patrol and Nickelodeon licensed from Spin Master the global (excluding Canada) distribution rights for the show on behalf of Viacom International as well as all ancillary exploitation rights, including licensing and merchandising.
