The Hub rebrands after seeing success in the toy sector.
Dunblane-based independent retailer The Hub Direct has been renamed Toy Hub.
It may be a subtle name change but it’s a giant leap for store owners Gerard and Helen Gourley, the pair told ToyNews.
A fresh logo has been unveiled - and a new-look website is in the works as well.
The Hub first opened in 2010 solely renting DVDs. Inspired by Lego’s success, the store began selling a small amount of branded toys. Now it will focus only on selling toys and games.
A statement sent to ToyNews read: "Success has gone from strength to strength, as it became apparent the store was filling a huge gap for shoppers on the Dunblane High Street.
"The [store owners'] knowledge, expertise and friendly personal service are the values appreciated by shoppers, and it's not gone unnoticed by the trade either, with regular quotes in magazines, and even sponsorship of store events by toy creators such as Activision. These are just some of the exciting things happening.
"Now the store is even inspiring role models, with Lego creating Day Events Packs for stockists, after seeing the success of Lego VIP Days ran by the store.
"Toy Hub will carry on this huge success. The new playful and colourful logo is just the start of big things."
