Royal flush for Cartamundi as King and Queen of Belgium visit firm's headquarters

“It has been a great honour for Cartamundi to welcome the Royal Couple to its home town. We are delighted that the achievements of the company have merited this visit and fully intent to add to those achievements in the coming years.”

Cartamundi opened its doors to a royal visit last week as the King and queen of Belgium visited the playing card specialist’s headquarters in Turnhout.

The visit was a planned stop off during the royal pair’s trip to Belgium’s province of Antwerp and was paid in recognition of the work Cartamundi has done in building a family business into one of Belgium’s leading firms.

King Philippe of Belgium’s Cartamundi programme included an informal welcome from the chairman and members of the board of directors, along with the CEO and the directors, who explained the pillars of the business to the Royal couple.

The visit ended with a tour around various departments of the company and an introduction to the employees who monitor quality throughout the chain.

Trudi Bishop, head of marketing and licensing at Cartamundi, said: “It has been a great honour for Cartamundi to welcome the Royal Couple to its home town.

“We are delighted that the achievements of the company have merited this visit and fully intent to add to those achievements in the coming years.”
