This year's awards will also incorporate the Primary Teacher Update Awards.
The awards scheme for pre-school and early years productsis now in its 11th year and for 2012, the Primary Teacher Update Awards replaces the 5-7 Awards to offer broader exposure, following the Mark Allen Group’s magazine revamp. The Primary Teacher Update Awards caters for books, toys and other resources and creative play.
Any products relevant to older children, up to the age of 11, will now be suitable for entry and will benefit from the same degree of testing, analysis and judging.
There are several categories in the Practical Pre-School Awards, including Toys and Games, Creative Play and many more.
In response to the increasing number of app toys on the market, an Electronic and New Technology category has been introduced this year, expanding upon the previous Electronic toys category.
All entries are tested by professionals in the childcare sector and by children. Achieving a Practical Pre-School or Primary Teacher Update award provides an opportunity to highlight new products within the pre-school, primary school and childcare sector, while receiving official endorsement from end users.
All the results will be published in the Practical Pre-School magazine and online in October and the Primary Teacher Update Awards will also receive extra coverage in Primary Teacher Update magazine, presenting an opportunity to gain increased exposure and recognition.
