Posh Paws named exclusive soft toy licensee for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home

The license was awarded via The Point.1888, which has been recently appointed as Battersea’s brand extension agent.

Leading plush toy manufacturer Posh Paws International has secured its first license for a charity in the form of a new partnership with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Posh Paws will represent the world-famous animal rescue centre as exclusive soft toy licensee, as part of the new product era introduced by The Point.1888 who were recently appointed as Battersea’s brand extension agent.

“Battersea Dogs & Cats Home works tirelessly to care, nurse and rehome thousands of sick, stray and unwanted pets each year, and animal lovers owe a lot to their efforts," commented Posh Paws’ Brand and MD Lauren Shipman. "Posh Paws holds the charity’s work in great regard, and we’re thrilled to be their exclusive plush licensee, bringing the nation’s favourite four-legged friends to stores for such a good cause.”

This partnership will enable us to help fund the vital and tireless work of the Home to help even more dogs and cats find their new homes.

"Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is a brand that we feel very passionately about and a partnership with Posh Paws is a perfect fit," added Jack Allen, senior brand executive at The Point.1888. "One of the many reasons we are excited about this range is due to the quality and variety of plush that Posh Paws can create. We're looking forward to the launch and allowing consumers to connect with real characters from the Home."

Featured in the range will be a selection of dog and cat plush products, the characters will be based on real life case studies of some of the thousands of animals that pass through the charity’s doors each year. There will also be a selection of soft toys representing the most popular breeds in the country, with the full range being available in a variety of sizes and price points.

“Battersea is very proud to be partnering with Posh Paws, a market leader in plush, and we can’t wait to see the products on shelves," concluded Amy Zalin, licensing manager from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

"This partnership will enable us to help fund the vital and tireless work of the Home to help even more dogs and cats find their new homes.“

Posh Paws’ Battersea collection will launch at London Toy Fair 2018, and is set to hit shelves in SS18.
