This month Playmobil, is launching two new ranges in addition to the new Ghostbusters range and a new set in its 1.2.3 range. As we begin to prepare for the summer the new ranges, Summer Camp and City Airport, and Night Train with Track set, follow a holiday and day trip theme.
The launches will be supported with above the line marketing campaigns, with both Summer Camp and City Airport receiving TV and print advertising and PR support, and the new 1.2.3 set being supported by extensive PR. The new Summer Camp range features six new sets; Camping Lodge, Camp Site with LED Fire, Off-Road SUV, Biking Trip, Night Walk and Whitewater Rafters. Each set comes complete with its own figures and characters which youngsters can play with to their hearts content.
Youngsters with a love of aviation will enjoy seven sets as part of the City Airport range, including Airport Fire Engine with Lights and Sound, Airport with Control Tower, Passenger Plane, Aircraft Tug with Ground Crew, Firefighting Operation with Water Pump, Fire Quad and Family at Check-In. Every scenario can be imagined by children, whether they prefer being in the air or on the ground. Also launching this month (May) is the Night Train with Track, part of the 1.2.3 range aimed at infants aged 18 months and above. The bright and colourful locomotive offers enough space for the driver and two passengers can take their seats in the carriages, while axles on the train allow the wheels to move freely.
