The games company has its products profiled to over 300 parents via Twitter and Facebook parties.
Orchard Toys has hosted two Play Fest parties together with social media marketer Al Boxall-Gordon - otherwise known as IzziWizzi.
The educational play nights took place on Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th of Apirl. During the evenings, parents watched and commented on reviews of Orchard Toys' latest products and could chat and take part in live polls. Everybody who took part recieved a free Orchard Toys Tangram.
Lynda Freebrey, social media protaganist at Orchard Toys, said: “Both nights were extremely lively with lots and lots of questions about our products and educational play in general.
“I found it an excellent way to engage with customers, and potential customers, and to hear their feedback about our products. Participants found it a great forum to chat and swap ideas with other mothers.”
Participating parents said they valued the chance to get one-on-one advice and recommendations of games, and the chance to give ideas and suggestions directly to the company.
Al Boxall-Gordon of Buzz Internet Marketing, said: “Play Fest provides amazing opportunities for toy brands to interact with our community of families to build exposure, and to engage and understand their market.
“We are looking forward to continuing our work with Orchard Toys in 2012 to help them research new products, build their social media presence and compliment their already very strong engagement with families through social media.”
