New Toy Safety Directive chemical requirements explained

BTHA teams with Bureau Veritas for a special seminar on Wednesday September 5th.

Trade body, the BTHA and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services will be hosting a special seminar next month, explaining the new chemical requirements in the Toy Safety Directive.

Taking place on Wednesday September 5th at BMA House in London, members will get the chance to hear from experts in the area of toy safety, legislators and those responsible for enforcement.

The seminar will be led by members of the BTHA Technical Committee, with representation also planned from the European Commission. The panel will discuss the changes to Chemical Requirements under the Directive, and the likely impact the changes will have on the rules in operation and the responsibilities for members of the BTHA and the wider industry.

BTHA members are entitled to two free tickets to attend the day.

During the seminar, the BTHA will also be launching a new 'Chemical Toolkit', created in association with Bureau Veritas. It will provide an easy to use on-screen industry programme for material checks.

Free tickets are available until Friday August 17th after which time additional, paid tickets will be allocated.

To apply for spaces at the event, please contact Matt Jones on matt@btha.co.uk.
