Mr Monopoly heads to Houses of Parliament for Monopoly Token Madness Vote

‘Only time will tell if fans will decide to stay with the current tokens, keep a few favourites or pick an entirely new line-up of tokens,’ says Hasbro’s Craig Wilkins.

Hasbro is hoping to get Monopoly fans voting to select their next favourite token, by encouraging the UK electorate to vote outside the Houses of Parliament.

Mr Monopoly has stationed himself outside Parliament with the polling station, where the public will get to cast their vote to change the current eight tokens, including the Scottie Dog, hat and car.

“The Monopoly Token Madness Vote lets our passionate fans choose all eight tokens in the Monopoly game and no token – not even the Scottie dog – is safe,” said Craig Wilkins, marketing director for Hasbro Gaming.

“Only time will tell if fans will decide to stay with the current tokens, keep a few favourites or pick an entirely new line-up of tokens.”

Over the next three weeks, fans will be able to vote to choose their favourite new tokens, from a T-Rex, hashtag, camera, bow tie, fish or rubber duck.
