Magic Box Toys reveals 'SuperZings Show & Tell Super Heroes' school initiative

200 schools will receive free packs to turn show and tell into an all new experience.

Magic Box Toys is launching a new primary schools initiative to support the launch of its new collectable toy line - SuperZings - Rivals of Kaboom.

Hitting UK shelves in January 2018, the SuperZings are everyday objects brought to life in a fun, comic ‘Hero vs Villain’ rivalry theme. Clad in iconic superhero capes and eyemasks, there are more than 80 multi-coloured characters to collect, each with a matching ‘rival’ which adds a new dimension to the collectable mechanic.

Designed for Year One classes, the new initiative will see Show and Tell expanded into a new kind of activity for five and six-year olds across the UK, with the help of the new SuperZings characters.

An initial wave of 200 schools will receive a free pack containing everything they need to create memorable Show & Tell moments in their classrooms.

“Working with Playtime PR, we wanted to find a fun yet meaningful and authentic way of bringing the SuperZings into the classroom," said Ben Harper of Magic Box Toys International.

"From our conversations with teachers at UK primary schools, we know that Show & Tell is a fantastic way for children to develop self-expression, confidence and speaking skills in front of their peers. We feel it’s also the perfect time to create really special classroom moments for every child to enjoy and cherish forever, and so we’ve developed the SuperZings Show & Tell Super Heroes initiative to help teachers make even more of Show & Tell in Year One. The fact that many primary schools now also use ‘Learning Super Powers’ makes SuperZings even more relevant.”

Schools are being invited to register for a free SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero pack, which contains: specially-created teacher materials and classroom activities based on popular Learning Super Powers; an exclusive SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero cape for children to wear during their Show & Tell moment plus SuperZings blind bags, stickers and a classroom poster to adorn the SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero corner. Every child at participating schools will also have the chance to design a SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero eye mask – there are SuperZings prizes up for grabs and one child will also win £500 for their school.

Schools are now being recruited to the initiative at www.superzingsschools.co.uk and packs will be delivered to successful applicants in January to coincide with SuperZings hitting UK shelves.
