Planeta Junior is teaming up with German brand management and media company m4e AG to co-produce and distribute The Beatrix Girls, a new TV show inpsired by the hit collectable pop-star dolls.
Produced in collaboration with POPmedia Brands’ Sherry Gunther Shugerman, the hybrid sitcom show is based on the multimedia brand The Beatrix Girls and will be boosted by its original music videos that have been posted on YouTube and have gathered over 23 million views to date.
The sitcom show follows the adventurous lives of best friends Brayden, Lark, Ainsley and Chantal—also known as the chart climbing pop band The Beatrix Girls - who just happen to be 12 inch dolls living in a normal sized world.
Following the announcement that Studio 100 N.V. has acquired a majority interest in the German brand management and media company m4e AG, m4e’s strategic partner Planeta Junior is entering this project at development stage, the production is set to start this year.
