MV Sports' parent company, Tandem, will produce the official London 2012 cycling equipment and wheeled toys.
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games today confirmed that they have appointed Tandem Group Ltd to produce official London 2012 cycling equipment and wheeled toys.
Tandem Group is one of the leading wheeled products manufacturer in the UK, with a proven track record in adults and children’s cycles, scooters, tricycles, roller skates, skateboards and ride-ons.
The group comprises of MV Sports, Dawes Cycles, Falcon Cycles and Claude Butler.
The appointment of Tandem Group by the London Orgnaising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) supports the existing London 2012 licensing programme through which vital revenue to stage the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be raised.
Official London 2012 licensed products currently on sale include sportswear, die cast model vehicles and pin badges.
LOCOG commercial director, Chris Townsend commented: “London 2012 is keen to encourage cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transport so appointing a cycling licensee has been a key goal.
