Firm bullish over its growth in the building sets category
Lego says it is the only building sets manufacturer which has experienced growth since September, following the release of the latest NPD data.
The firm has pointed out it now holds almost 48 per cent share of the category thanks to increased sales in its Star Wars, Mars Mission, City and Creative Building brands.
It has also highlighted that its Bionicle Toa Mahri assortment has taken the number one spot in the top 20 new items best sellers list; its Star Wars property is now the second biggest franchise for Lego UK and Mars Mission is also performing beyond original forecasts.
These results follow on from the 12 per cent increase of consumer sales experienced by Lego UK.
