Lego celebrates the Jubilee with a diamond encrusted Queen model

The very expensive model will be revealed to the public at Legoland Windsor in May.

An extravagant model of Queen Elizabeth II will be unveiled as part of a recreation of Buckingham Palace at Legoland Windsor next month.

Described as one of the most expensive Lego models ever made, this 10cm Queen is set to sparkle, with a Lego crown encrusted with diamonds worth thousands of pounds.

Lego Liz’s 1.5cm crown is a special commission from jewellery designer Dinny Hally. It is made from silver and encorporates 48 specially cut diamonds.

The Queen – who celebrates her Diamond Jubliee in June - will be accompanied by Lego models of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Kate and Wills and Prince Harry.
