The collectable toy struck a chord with audience due to its unboxing appeal.
L.O.L. Suprise! has scooped two awards for MGA Entertainment at this year's Australian Toy Awards: Doll of the Year and Toy of the Year.
"The last time we had the Doll of the Year winner was in the early 2000's with Bratz," said MGA Entertainment CEO, Isaac Larian. "We are thrilled to be recognized by the Australian Toy Association and presented with these two outstanding awards for L.O.L. Surprise!™. We look forward to bringing surprise and delight to more kids around the globe in the coming months."
The awards were organised by Australian Toy Association for the annual Australian Toy Fair.
The popular combination of doll and collectible have led L.O.L. Surprise to experience virtual sell-outs as it launched in several markets across the world, and subsequently created an after-market sales frenzy.
Despite new shipments arriving weekly, this exciting toy wrapped mysteriously inside a ball is expected to be the hardest gift to find for kids this Easter.
