The firm's Category Manager ran the marathon in aid of Juvenile Diabetes Research.
KD UK’s Category Manager, Paul Dearlove, took to the streets of London on Sunday, taking in part the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
The cause was the JDRF, a foundation dedicated to finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, and improving the lives of millions of people, who through no fault of their own, find themselves battling this devastating condition daily. For the past two years, Paul’s youngest daughter, Neve, has also battled with the disease and was there supporting her Dad on Sunday.
“It’s really tough seeing your own child contend with the daily grind of blood tests, insulin injections and constant worries over what and when to eat, and so I'm really pleased to have raised nearly £2000 to help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes,” commented Dearlove.
He added, "It was such an amazing and emotional day, cheered on by the brilliant crowd and I even got to shake hands with royalty en route as William and Kate were cheering from the road side!"
If you wish to donate to this cause, there is still time to donate through Paul's fundraising page.
