A product development coordinator is needed at the company.

About the role

The value of Mattel's world-leading brands cannot be overestimated. So by helping to protect the integrity of those brands, from Barbie to Hot Wheels, Polly Pocket to Monster High, you’ll have a vital role to play.

Working closely with the European creative teams and UK licensing managers, you’ll coordinate our product approval processes at every stage. That means making sure licensees’ are kept up to date with brand guidelines, and every product design and marketing message they submit is put through an extensive approval programme – keeping all artwork and content on brand, and consistent across the region.

What’s more, monitoring deadlines, you’ll draw up timelines for product cycles and liaise with CPI engineers to make sure deals are kept on track throughout the approval process.

About you

Candidates will ideally have a management based degree and experience in a similar role, either with a licensor or working in retail on private label ranges. And will certainly have a flair for product development.

Commercially astute, organised and ambitious, applicants will have no problem managing multiple projects. While strong communication skills mean you’ll work well with colleagues at all levels of the business.

Skills in MS Office through to Photoshop and Illustrator are essential. As is keeping up with the latest retail trends, particularly when it comes to children’s products.
