Former VP Carmine Russo takes the helm at the company's international division.
Jakks has promoted Carmine Russo to president of its international division.
Russo - a toy industry veteran of 28 years – joined Jakks when the company acquired Toymax in 2002. Working initially as senior vice president of Jakks International, Russo was promoted to executive vice president in 2009.
The division coordinates Jakks' international sales, marketing, advertising, promotions and distribution operations for all of its products.
“Carmine has successfully directed the global expansion of Jakks Pacific outside of North America, bringing our brands and products to new audiences worldwide,” said Stephen Berman, president and CEO of Jakks Pacific.
“Under his leadership, Jakks Pacific products are now found in over 60 countries and he has been instrumental in the company forging licensing, marketing and retail partnerships with some of the biggest International toy companies around the world.”
