The two firms are set to launch new Beat Bugs toys that interact with content via a new technology called Hijinx Alive.
Hijinx is joining forces with tech firm Chirp for a new line of toys that interact with content on any device.
Having already produced licensed toys for Beat Bugs, Zafari and more, Hijinx kicks of the collaboration by embedding Hijinx Alive powered by Chirp into the upcoming range of Beat Bugs interactive toys.
These new toys will have the ability to interact and sing along with the Netflix TV show, Beat Bugs, and with each other thanks to the new tech.
“Beat Bugs is one of the most innovative and exciting TV shows to be broadcast in recent years, and retail giants are already on board for the toys. We had to raise the bar on the toys that would accompany this series, and Hijinx Alive powered by Chirp does just that,” said Norma Rosenhain, CEO at Hijinx.
“The Beat Bugs toys will interact in a revolutionary way that children and their parents will find totally enchanting.
“The world of children’s entertainment and play is changing rapidly and today’s children want more interaction and engagement with their toys. Hijinx Alive powered by Chirp allows us to lead this evolution. This is just the start of our exclusive partnership with Chirp and we’re excited about the innovative toys we are currently developing.”
Hijinx will continue to work with Chirp to embed the technology into more toys within the firm’s portfolio.
Moran Lerner, CEO at Chirp, added: “We’re looking forward to working closely with Hijinx to deliver a new generation of toys, starting with Beat Bugs, bringing the magic of this award-winning TV show into the real world, with each toy character able to interact with what is happening in the show in real-time."
