Gibsons launches educational competition

Firm runs contest to win resources for local schools.

Gibsons is asking children to create their own My World animal with a chance to win £250 of products for their school.

Gibsons My World jigsaw puzzles and games are educational, fun resources designed in conjunction with child psychologist Dr Amanda Gummer. Each element is linked to early learning goals and the UK National Curriculum.

The My World competition is easy to enter and provides an entertaining classroom activity for children. The range includes mix and match animal puzzles - for example the child has to match the correct animal head to the body – and Gibsons would like children to design their own two-part animal with a head and separate body. This could be a real animal such as a lion or a giraffe, or a creation from their own imagination.

The competition is open to all Early Years pupils and is totally free to enter. The closing date for entries is 22 June 2012 and the winning school and pupil will be announced on 2 July 2012.
