Cluedo Edinburgh launches today

Features six characters that 'define' Scotland’s capital including The Politician, The Writer and The Zookeeper

An official Cluedo Edinburgh board  featuring characters voted by the great Edinburgh public has launched today.

The board is the very first UK regional Cluedo set outside of London and features six characters that 'define' Scotland’s capital including The Politician, The Writer and The Zookeeper, but a Banker character proved too unpopular to feature.

Edinburgh beat off competition from the likes of Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester to land the official board.

Mr Taylor, Head of Custom Games at Winning Moves – makers of this board game under license from Hasbro - says:  “This board defines the vibrant Edinburgh of today and mirrors public feeling.”

Cllr Frank Ross, Convener of the Economy Committee added: “It’s great news for Scotland’s capital city. Edinburgh with its Old Town and New Town, its elegant mansions and its history, is the perfect backdrop for Cluedo.

"I am sure it will be a big hit.”

Cluedo: Edinburgh Edition goes on sale from tomorrow at Jenners, John Lewis, The Works, Waitrose, Waterstones, WH Smith and toy and book stores - as well as online retailers.
