Brand will span toys, apps, books and digital content.

Award-winning child development and parenting expert Denise Daniels is launching a new brand to help children better understand their emotions called The Moodsters.

The brand will launch in 2015 with a toy range inspired by The Moodster's five characters, each depicting a different emotion.

The Moodsters will also encompass apps, books, digital content and more.

“With the use of engaging characters and entertaining adventure stories,The Moodsters prepares children for success in the real world by giving them tools and simple strategies they can use to manage their thoughts, feelings and behavior," said Daniels.

"For parents, The Moodsters are learning tools which help teach children the fundamentals of feelings.”

Based on the emotional intelligence curriculum developed for pre-schoolers in partnership with Marc Brackett, PhD and director of the YaleCenter for Emotional Intelligence, The Moodsters (named Coz, Lolly, Snorf, Razzy and Quigly) use detective skills to solve emotional mysteries.

Daniels' Jelly Jam Entertainment is currently pursuing licensing partners for The Moodsters.
