In addition, McFarlane Toys will also create merchandise from the entire Star trek universe, ranging from the classic Star Trek: The Original Series to its popular movie franchise.

McFarlane Toys has signed a toy license deal with CBS Consumer Products to create figures, role play weapons and accessories for the Star Trek: Discovery TV series.

In addition, McFarlane Toys will also create merchandise from the entire Star trek universe, ranging from the classic Star Trek: The Original Series to its popular movie franchise.

The initial line will highlight two of the most iconic characters from the Star Trek universe with articulated seven-inch figures of USS Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk from The Original Series and USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D Captain Jean-Luc Picard from The Next Generation.

Various characters from the highly-anticipated Star Trek: Discovery TV series and other adaptations will follow.

“Star Trek is hands down one of the most groundbreaking and innovative franchises in the history of entertainment,” said Todd Mcfarlane, owner and CEO of McFarlane Toys.

“We plan on carrying that forward with our upcoming toy lines, giving fans a fresh and detailed look, that their favourite characters deserve.”

Veronica Hart, senior vice president of CBS Consumer Products, added: “We are excited to sign McFarlane Toys as the first licensee for Star Trek: Discovery. Its commitment to quality and dedication to fans is the perfect combination to bring this line-up of products to life.

“We know Star Trek fans worldwide are looking forward to it as much as we are.”

Mcfarlane’s Star Trek toys will be available in the spring of 2018 at major retailers worldwide.

Meanwhile, the new Star Trek series will premiere on CBS Television Network with all subsequent episodes available on CBS All access, the network’s digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service.
