Cartamundi debuts Fundels, a new line of educational card games

“We set ourselves the challenge of bringing together the world’s favourite game format with ways to play that offer both fun and learning," said Marco van Haaften, international marketing director, Cartamundi Services NV.

Cartamundi has developed a new line of educational card games called Fundels, set to launch in January 2017.

The range combines 'entertaining and colourful games and packaging with themes like language, conceptual thinking and mathematics', and all the games in the line are aligned with the UK national curriculum.

At its launch, Fundels will offer four games across three educational themes, each with its own colour - a mathematics game (red), a languages game (green) and two conceptual thinking games (blue).

Gameplay involves flipping a mini-card and writing a word, racing players to win a counting game and creating drawings using the numbers zero to nine.

“We set ourselves the challenge of bringing together the world’s favourite game format with ways to play that offer both fun and learning," said Marco van Haaften, international marketing director, Cartamundi Services NV.

"With Fundels we have achieved that aim — in a way that will delight little learners and parents alike.”

Cartamundi is also launching a pocket money-priced ‘standard’ version as well. The premium games are priced at £9.99 and the standard games at £3.99.
