Cartamundi, Winning Moves, Richard Edward and Gibsons unveil new lines.

Card manufacturers are cashing in on the upcoming royal event, launching a range of commemorative and themed products.

Kate Middleton is the new Queen of fashion, according to a Royal Wedding version of Top Trumps out today.

The set also features Fergie, Diana, Kate’s friend - pub landlord, John Haley and Kate Middleton’s mum.

The game also features all the key guests who will be at the wedding, including celebrity guests like Posh, Becks and Sir Elton John. The dress and ring are featured too.

There are five different rated categories in this special pack - VIP, age, style icon, celebrity press and big day rating.

Winning Moves is also offering a couple the chance to be showcased in a customised Top Trumps version of their own wedding.

The best entry will be the couple who most convince the firm in up to 50 words why their wedding “Is so special”. Entries to: weddings@toptrumps.com by April 29th 2011.

Fiona Hortopp, head of marketing, Winning Moves UK, said: “Top Trumps is part of British life and synonymous with all things cool in Britain. That’s why we have decided that the Royal Wedding is cool - a classic tale of a young girl meeting her Prince.

“At Top Trumps we think very carefully about what packs we produce. We constantly get welcome suggestions from the public suggesting ‘great’ pack ideas, but this one grew on its own.

“The Royal Wedding is a unique and rare event – and a great reason to celebrate. By producing this pack, we are developing something that is also rare, collectable, and uniquely British, as there are only a limited number being produced."

Cartamundi is commemorating the marriage with a deck of Playing Cards featuring the couple (pictured). The gold and silver cards contain photographs of William and Kate throughout their courtship.

Jonathan Rose, sales and marketing director, Cartamundi, commented: "Cartamundi have a heritage in playing cards and not least we manufacture and supply quality playing cards to all our customers, large and small to the general public right through to the Royal Houses, including Casinos, private label, cards for games, premium and promotional markets.

"Cartamundi has a connection with the Belgium Royal Family, so with this in mind we felt it was only right to commemorate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton. We are hoping that because of the quality of the playing cards, they will be played with as well as becoming a collected deck for generations to come."

Gibson Games has also released Royal Wedding playing cards, whereby each of the 52 designs features a unique photograph of William and Kate along with other members of the Royal Family.

Finally, Richard Edward has created a limited edition Double Pack of Playing Cards to commemorate the wedding.

The double pack of bridge-sized playing cards feature  engagement photographs of the couple and the cards are enhanced with gold gilt edging.

The packaging is contemporary with a white background featuring the official Coat of Arms of HRH Prince William of Wales.

Louisa Moger, marketing director at Richard Edward said: “These cards are a wonderful way to mark the Royal Wedding. As a UK manufacturer, producing them is a great honour for us. Playing Cards are a timeless product; we are sure people will love them, just as we do.”
