Range of refreshed classic characters celebrate milestone; Costume tour heads to retail.
Jakks is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Cabbage Patch Kids range this year, as the characters return with a 'Memory Lane' marketing and PR campaign.
The campaign is designed to reintroduce the collectable range of toys to a new generation of mothers and daughters in 2013.
The past 30 years have witnessed over 123 million Cabbage Patch Kids produced. The brand was designed and created in 1983 by Xavier Roberts.
The 'Memory Lane' range for 2013 will include Series Two of the classic Cabbage Patch dolls along with new models.
A collection of Series 3 30th Anniversary Celebration Kids, Babies and Baby Land themed characters will be launched later this year.
A major lunch event for the Anniversary range will link the Cabbage Patch Kids of the '80s with the contemporary, refreshed line.
A retailer character costume tour will feature activities exploring the past and present elements of the brand.
