Brian May confirms official Queen Monopoly

The game will see fans ‘tour the gig history of Queen, from their first at Imperial College in 1970 to their last with Freddie Mercury at Knebworth Park in 1986.’

Wild-haired wonder Brian May has confirmed that Queen will release its own version of Monopoly this summer.

The new boardgame – scheduled to hit retailers this May – will take fans through key moments in the band’s history and feature bespoke tokens.

The game will see fans ‘tour the gig history of Queen, from their first at Imperial College in 1970 to their last with Freddie Mercury at Knebworth Park in 1986.’

Fans will be able to tour the world with the band and buy gig locations and hit singles. They will also be able to take chances with A Kind of Magic and In the Lap of the Gods chance cards.

“We have been secretly developing Queen Monopoly for over a year,” said May via his web site.

“And it’s due in a shop near you in May. I am excited – it was a blast working on it, like making an album. We hope you love it.”
