Boo's Toy Shop visits Number 10 for Small Business Saturday celebration

The shop’s owner, Charlotte Polley, was one of 100 retailers invited to Number 10 to celebrate at an event hosted by the Prime Minister Theresa May and Small Business Minister Margot James.

Independent toy retailer, Boo’s Toy Shop to a trip to Downing Street over the weekend to mark the UK’s fourth Small Business Saturday.

The shop’s owner, Charlotte Polley, was one of 100 retailers invited to Number 10 to celebrate at an event hosted by the Prime Minister Theresa May and Small Business Minister Margot James.

Small Business Saturday aims to encourage shoppers not only to spend money with small independent businesses in the run up to Christmas, but to support them all year round.

Prime Minister, Theresa May, said: “Small Business Saturday is an opportunity for us to celebrate the success of the UK’s 5.4 million small businesses, from family run restaurants, to innovative tech start-ups, to local corner shops.

“I am delighted that we had such a great representation of firms here in Downing Street to mark this event and recognise the prosperity they bring to the UK.”

Boo’s Toy Shop owner, Polley, added: “I am delighted to have been chosen as one of the 100 companies nationwide to attend this very special event at 10 Downing Street and take this opportunity to thank all my loyal customers for their support without which my business would be much less successful.”
