Alberto Petruzzelli details Hape and Marbel's 'common future in the UK'

Since its acquisition of Marbel Toys, Hape is looking forward to a prosperous future with the distributor. Hape’s Alberto Petruzzelli reveals all.

Hape is looking to lead new investment to ensure Marbel continues to grow in the UK, following its acquisition of the toy distributor this June.

After enjoying successful sales in Asian, American and European markets, the acquisition comes as no surprise, with the firm hoping to bring a ‘better organisation, a stronger financial background and an international dimension’ to transform the business.

“This has been a very important year for Marbel because of new investment from Hape group ensuring proper tools to pursue our trend of growth,” Alberto Petruzzelli, general manager at Hape International Milano, told ToyNews.

“Hape has been for years an important and loyal supplier and sharing the same values we came to a point where we have agreed to have a common future in the UK.”

As the acquisition gets underway, a range of new products are set to hit retailers’ shelves, with puzzles, musical toys and a new addition to the Quadrilla collection on the way.

Petruzzelli continued: “We have a fantastic launch of baby musical items and a complete fresh exciting puzzle range that will really make a wow in the market as from the first reactions.

“There is also a wonderful new set in the Quadrilla range that besides having the unique features of logic process building into kids’ minds provides, as well an imaginative medieval story making kids very excited about it.”

With customers at the forefront of the company, Hape is confident that 2017 and beyond will meet expectations following a successful acquisition and roll out of new products.

“For the rest of this year we will consolidate our organisation and we will have fantastic offers to make our customers very satisfied of,” concluded Petruzzelli.
