Firm launches collection of aircraft models to mark the 30th anniversary of the Falklands War.
The BAe Sea Harrier, named after the designer Hawker Siddeley Harrier, is the world famous naval jet fighter and attack aircraft. The FRS-1 (78 pieces, 304mm long) and GR3 (92 pieces, 299mm long) 1:48 scale models, which are best known for their campaign in the Falklands War and suffered no air-to-air losses against the Argentinean forces, are available in stores from April for £15.99.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk 1:72 scale model is a carrier-capable ground attack aircraft designed for the US Navy and Marine Corps. They were used by the Argentine airforce during the Falklands War and are available from April for £9.99.
The Airfix Club Pucara 1:72 scale kit is available to club members only. It comes with a choice of two aircrafts as flown by the Argentine Air Force; FMA-IA58 A-558 Pucara 25th Anniversary Special and the FMA-IA58 A-515 Pucara which was painted to replicate the Pucara’s seen in the Falklands War. Available from April, the Pucara kit has an price of around £12.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk and the BAe Sea Harrier FRS-1 are also packaged together in a Dogfight Double pack, also available in April, £19.99.
