Firm invests in new machinery and premises to cope with demand.
Lifesize cardboard cutout specialist Star Cutouts enjoyed double-digit growth in 2012 and expects to expand further this year.
The company has reported an increase in interest from Europe. To cope with demand, it will be investing in new machinery and potentially a new premises later this year.
It has also signed several new licences which will join its other big brands like Doctor Who, Star Wars, Disney and more recently Justin Bieber.
“We had a good year with the royals in 2012 now we have a big push with our licences for pre-school upwards,” Star Cutouts sales manager Mick Armstrong told ToyNews.
“We see a big growth market there, and with new products, like face masks and removable wall stick-ups, we expect sales to rise in 2013. We had an amazing 2012 with double-digit growth and we see that growing in 2013.
“We’ll also be investing heavily in new machinery and maybe new premises later in the year to cope with demand.”
Star Cutouts says it will announce further licences shortly. The company is exhibiting at Toy Fair and Spring Fair this year.
