Retailer teams with toy firm and Berryworld for Blueberry launch activity.
Tesco has teamed up with Schleich and Berryworld for the forthcoming launch of its latest Blueberry promotion.
Over 3,000 Sporty Smurfs will be given away during the four-week promotion, which begins in-store on Monday July 23rd.
Berryworld will be supplying special promotional packs of blueberries to Tesco throughout the period, which give customers the chance to win one of the many Smurfs available.
The initiative will be supported by in-store theatre and raffles, with character visits in selected Tesco Extra stores.
"This is a fantastic marketing opportunity to bring Smurfs into the hands and hearts of children across the country," said Laura Bull, marketing manager at Schleich. "With it being such a special sporting year, we are delighted to be working with Tesco and Berryworld on this special campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating to families across the country.
"Berries are a firm favourite with the Smurfs, packed with all the energy to help them stay active throughout the day. The connection between blueberries, sports and the Smurfs was a natural one that we hope will resonate with young families."
