There aren't many toys which warrant their own promotional trailers, but the anticipation for Lego’s forthcoming Lord of the Rings range is such that the toy maker has released a minute-long short film to whet the whistles of fans.

In ‪Lego The Lord of the Rings - Chapter 1: The Tale Begins‬, Minifigure versions of Frodo and Gandalf flee the Shire in Lego’s quintessenatial animation style.

The pair are joined by a host of other characters including fellow Hobbits Merry, Pippin and Samwise, and also warrior Aragorn.

There's more to come too, as trailer ends 'To be continued...'
