Generation Media reveals the latest winning kids TV channels in this Euro 2012-inspired tournament.
The next batch of results for the Media Owner 2012 tournament are in – and CITV, Nickelodeon, Nick Junior and Boomerang are leading the pack.
Last week Generation Media kicked off the event, which pits commercial kids TV channels against one another in groups. You can read how Media Owner 2012 works here.
Group A concluded with a 3-1 win for Disney XD against CNToo, which saw the former surge into the quarter finals. Nick continued to look as ominous as the Germans, beating Pop Girl 10-0.
Tiny Pop drew 2-2 with Nick Jr2, and it was a point that helped Tiny Pop nab a quarter final berth. Boomerang beat Milkshake 7-1 to secure maximum points in the group fixtures.
Nick Jr made it two from two after a 6-1 win against Pop, a result which sees them into the next round.
Cartoon Network have gone down the Czech Republic route. After losing their first match they edged CITV Breakfast 3-2 and Pop await them in their final game.
CITV and Nicktoons both chalked up victories, winning 6-1 and 5-1 respectively.
CITV have now qualified for the quarter finals, whilst Kix! will be on the plane home after their final game against the group leaders.
Cartoonito play Nicktoons in an England/Ukraine-style winner takes all shootout tonight – that’s definitely one to watch.
The next round
So we have our first two quarter finals decided.
Nick have looked comfortable throughout the competition – will Tiny Pop relish playing them in the quarter finals?
Boomerang will take on Disney XD in what will no doubt be a pulsating tie between two evenly matched sides.
