An accurate replica of the Autobots leader will be joined by the latest Transformers toys on tour.
Hasbro has spent the last three months turning a genuine Peterbilt truck into an accurate version of the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime.
The transformer is set to embark on a nationwide summer tour to encourage fans to join him in the battle against the evil Decepticons.
At the Optimus Prime experience, kids will get the chance to play with the latest Transformers Prime toys and licensed products before receiving a certificate to confirm their allegiance to the Autobots. There will also be an inflatable arena where kids can have a picture taken with Optimus Prime and the other Autobots against a green screen.
Hasbro senior brand manager Gary Sims said: “We wanted to create an event for kids and fans to interact with Transformers this summer and there is no better way to do that than bringing Optimus Prime the leader of the Autobots to life with a full scale replica truck.
“We’re really excited to see the crowds reaction to Optimus this summer – I have to say we were blown away when we saw the finished article. We are also touring him around various key retailers over the summer holidays so watch this space.”
Optimus Prime will be appearing at the following events this summer:
London Motorexpo - June 11th to 17th
The Sunderland Air Show - July 21st to 22nd
Bristol Balloon Fiesta - August - 9th to 12th
Lollibop - August 17th to 19th
Bournemouth Air Festival - August 30th to September 2nd
Car Fest South - August 25th to 26th
Car Fest North - September 8th to 9th
Cartoon Network, the UK broadcaster of the Transformers Prime animated series, has created a microsite for the Truck that will feature games and the chance to win prizes.
